Services Offered

We are a licensed half day preschool program and our qualified early childhood educators encourage individual interests, create an enthusiasm for learning and foster feelings of respect, independence and self-esteem.

Child-directed activities create an environment which provides for children’s social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and creative needs. Little Chimps preschool is a 10 month program. 

Registration for the 2015-16 preschool year begins January 2015.

Afternoon Program: Our two afternoons/week program has up to 15 spaces for children 30 months to school age.  Class time is from 12:45-3:15 pm.  Class begins on September 10th, 2015.

Morning Program: Our three mornings/week program has 15 spaces for children 4 years to school age. Class time is from 8:45-11:15 am.  Class begins on September 9th, 2015. 

2015-216 Preschool Fees:    
Monday, Wednesday, Friday morning class - $165/month 
Tuesday, Thursday afternoon class - $115/month
A $40 non-refundable deposit/administration fee is required at the time of registration and all fees are due at the beginning of the month. 

 Each class is staffed with 2 Early Childhood Educators. First Aid and CPR training are also required.

History

Mountain Child ELCC opened in May 2015.  The preschool was developed in response to a community need for more licensed child care opportunities.

Many funders and community partners were involved with the start up of Little Chimps Preschool:  Columbia Basin Trust, Columbia Valley Credit Union, Columbia Shuswap Regional District, Golden Community Resources Society, Ministry of Children and Family Development and Rocky Mountain School District No. 6.
