PictureThe entire class paused for a moment Friday June 7th for a group photo. Participants came together from the entire Columbia Valley. Instructors Nicole Chaland, Peter Elkins, Sean Markey and Michael H. Shuman led the class through 3 SFU CED courses: Emerging Economic Theories & Practices; Sustainability of People, Planet & Places; and Locanomics: Introduction to Local Living Economies.
(Golden, BC) Wow! What a week. Heads are still spinning. So many great ideas. So many great conversations. So much potential!

After a very intense week of Simon Fraser University's (SFU) Community Economic Development (CED) courses, all 20 full-time participants agree that we can work smarter and more effectively for ourselves, our organizations and our community.

Post-Course Assignments
There are a series of writing assignments and web conferences that this cohort will be participating in throughout the summer.

Discussion Groups
Many participants have talked about meeting on a regular basis to coach and inspire each other. Scheduling a meeting with Doodle makes the most sense and an invitation will soon follow. Please confirm your availability when you get it and a future meeting will be scheduled with the best possible fit.
